TED 2006
From November 22-24, the Fiera di Genova will host the 2006 edition of TED – Italy’s most important conference on Multimedia Technologies for schools and teaching.
The conference – an initiative of the Italian Ministry of Education - has been running since 2001. The public largely consists of teachers, school principals, and other education professionals.
Since its inauguration, TED has worked in close partnership with market leaders from the hardware and software industries, to actively involve participants in hands-on demonstrations.
The main novelty in the 2006 edition is the opening of the conference to the government sector and to companies. TED’s goal is to directly involve the companies that create and manage key information systems for the Public Administration – and thus to stimulate the expansion of e-learning and life-long learning.
In recent years, TED has become Italy’s most important conference on new teaching technologies. The participating organizations include the Ministry of Education, the National Research Council (CNR), regional school administrations, the universities, professional associations and the companies that serve their needs.
