What you don’t expect from E-learning

On October 18, Bologna’s Industrial Heritage Museum (Museo del Patrimonio Industriale) will host an important conference on the role of E-learning technology in creating value for the knowledge economy.
Everyone accepts we live in a knowledge economy. In fact our whole lives are guided by technologies, technological systems and technological processes. There has been much debate about the sources of wealth and power in this new environment. But the real question is what actually drives the knowledge economy. This will be the focus of the conference.
The main themes for discussion – relevant both to individuals and to organizations - will be global competition, the production and dissemination of know-how in companies, and the competitive advantages arising from well-organized training, support and marketing. The speakers will include university faculty and representatives from industry.
The event has been organized in collaboration with the University of Cologne, the Association of Specialists in Information Systems (Associazione Specialisti Sistemi Informativi) and Apropos – a cultural association.
